Lascaux Tango - live your fairtale!

Tango is going well and ready to start the serious work. He accepts the bit, starting to carry a frame and developing good transitions.

He is not spooky, nervous or naughty. His only real fear is of people he doesn’t know, so that first ride won’t be ideal, you’ll need to take some time for him to get to know you.

2000 Dark bay (lightly roaned) section D Welsh Cob.  14.3 hands high barefoot (a smidge over).
DNA'd, double registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society and American Warmblood Society.

Tango has been out twice in combined tests and scored second in dressage the first time in March with judge's comments on his talent, and tied for first in dressage the second time in April, getting 2nd overall!  He also completed his first parade on July 4th!  Traffic, kids underfoot, beginner rider in the saddle (I led a little girl that doesn't ride) and other horses being wired, nothing fazed him. Being painted, standing tied to a fence... I was SO proud!''''''

Kindness.  Heart.  Athleticism.  Trainability.  And incredible good looks....

This is a once in a lifetime horse.  Available only to the perfect home.

Sure-footed. Expressive. Forward. Self-carrying.  Whether you are looking for a trail horse or a dressage or eventing mount, this exotic-looking gelding is also kind, hard-working, and sensitive, with a big, roomy walk. and pure, extravagant gaits throughout.  To ride, his huge, beautiful trot is surprisingly comfortable and smooth, and he feels forward, light and soft but calm and gentle.  Very pure, true gaits.  His canter is  rocking, big and uphill!   Very natural tendency towards dressage moves.  Passage should be easy to train.  I've seen him offer it when being 'over ridden' by someone unfamiliar with him just trying to collect his trot.  He gets cooled off by my 6 year old daughter who’s ridden him in lead-line since she was 3.

Previously mostly trail ridden, including at Kalama Horse Camp (Mt. St. Helens) and on the Oregon Coast.   Started in '08   training for dressage ( schooling for solid basics and working  on a correct and relaxed foundation) and cross-training.  Suitable for passionate youth or adult dressage rider. His work ethic, willingness and 'try' are equaled only by his unique striking beauty and movement.  He's a willing jumper as well but hasn't had much
experience.

Wonderful bone, chiseled face with “bedroom eyes” to die for, 'square' set legs, tough solid hoof quality.  Clips (I just don't see him ever tolerating his ears being clipped easily but he's easy to bridle and groom), bathes, easy to load/haul, excellent ground manners, easy to tack and catch.    No vices, easy keeper but not 'overly easy' to get fat.
